It’s finally time for summer, sun and sunshine!
Cool beauty tips for hot days
In summer, the skin needs an extra portion of care: intensive sunlight and dry air from air-conditioning systems stress our skin while the heat affects our performance.
Our cool beauty tips will have you looking fresh and relaxed even in high summer:
Freshly showered
On very hot days, it’s very tempting to treat ourselves to an ice-cold shower. But what not many people know: A cold shower has the opposite effect! Because cold water on the skin causes the blood vessels to contract. This means that the body stores heat and heats up again.
No sun without protection
UV radiation is one of the main reasons for premature ageing of the skin. It is best to enjoy the sun in moderation and, above all, to avoid the midday heat. Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. UV radiation is at its highest and thus particularly dangerous. SPF 20/30 is sufficient for most everyday situations. However, if you want to enjoy the sun on the beach or at the pool, you need better protection with SPF 50. A UV-A and UV-B filter prevents sunburn and protects the skin against premature aging.
Tip: Aloe vera can help with sun-stressed skin after sunbathing. The desert plant is rich in vitamins, mineral salts and amino acids and has a healing and regenerating effect. The Schaebens Aloe Vera Mask provides extra moisture and is ideal as an after-sun care for face and décolleté. The formula with sea buckthorn extract and shea butter smoothes fine wrinkles caused by dryness. At the same time, panthenol regenerates the skin with lasting effects.
They say that planning is half the battle, but we advise you not to get stressed. Take enough time to plan your holiday with your loved ones. Conflicts can be avoided by discussing wishes and expectations together, thus preventing disappointments.
Summer Holidays
In order to enjoy your holiday undisturbed, you should switch off your mobile phone and use it only in urgent cases. Whether with family or friends, if everyone agrees in advance and adheres to it, you can use the available time much more effectively.
Holiday over way too fast? Keep the holiday effect by scheduling free days after your time away. Everyday life catches up with us too quickly and by doing this you can prepare yourself for your first day of work in peace and slowly get used to being back.
Even after your holiday, treat yourself occasionally and take time to recover from everyday life. Keep in touch with people, plan short weekend breaks or treat yourself to a wellness day.
The Schaebens team wishes you a relaxed summer!
