‘Die Hand’ by Bernd Müller
Art present 2017
“You can always find hands in my sculptures. The hand stands for contact, touch and care. It connects people. The gestures of the hands are mostly self-explanatory – without words they show moods and feelings.
They serve communication and speak many languages: tenderly and cuddly, gripping and guiding, demanding and encouraging. It stands for give and take, can hold on and let go and much more.”

“In sculptural work I can express the encounters, thoughts and feelings from everyday contact with people in a wide variety of life situations and thus process them for me.
My exhibits are individual and at the same time globally interpretable and readable. The sociopolitical issues that I take up are current and yet almost without exception they are general. I show the viewer everyday situations
Experience and would like to make him sensitive to what is happening to him or in his environment. It is not always just an “ideal world” that surrounds us.”
